Christmas!

Woo! Merry Christmas, y'all! :D I hope you had a good one. I know I did. ^^

Anyways, on to business. The bottom one is a compilation of basically a summary of 2009 (It says that at the top! :O ) and the top one is going to be part of my portfolio that I'm entering in a competition. I hope I do okay! XD I still have a crap load I need to finish in order to have it complete. c:

Also, I'm still waiting for the winners of the scholarship competition I entered back at the beginning of the month... I hope I did well for that one, too. >.> So yeah! I got an awesome set of colored pencils for Christmas. >:D I used them on the Godsmack girl. c:

Woah, two things at once! XD Hurray!

Well, it's almost Christmas break! Yay! I'll be able to do more over the holidays, so that's awesome.

Yellow!

I've got no idea where this picture came from. It just sort of happened! You have no idea how long it took to write all those yellows out... o.o

Yeah, nothing new today, really. I've started on a project in Independent Study; it's an origami series, where I'm going to do each color of the rainbow, plus white, totaling in 9 pieces, in order to make a nice square. C: I can't wait 'til I'm finished!

So yeah... Christmas is almost here! Just a few more weeks... I remember when I was younger, these last few weeks before Christmas were always the longest and most torturous for me! Those presents were tempting... XD Lols. Hurray for Christmas cheer! Speaking of... I need to do a holiday piece! I'll get on that at some point... >.>

This is what I SHOULD be doing at home... but... I never do it. D: Mel is such a better student than I am. >.> (In case you don't know, Mel is one of my characters. c:

Yay! These are some sketches I did on the computer with my bamboo tablet. :D I've never really just sketched on the computer before; I've always done it traditionally and then scanned it in... It was rather refreshing to try something a little different! I also liked how fast I could just add color to something! It was très chic!

How the Day's going!

I wanted to put this in a different post, since... yeah. I don't want to clutter my artwork with too much text.

So, my day was pretty stressful. Scratch that, my entire WEEK has been stressful! It's the week of our school play, and since I'm one of the major crew members, I had a lot of work to do. First we had to get all these flats painted for the backdrops, and then we had to make this brick wall. Painting walls is SO much fun. D:

AND I have the wonderful duty of managing the spot light. DX That thing's really heavy, and I have to be careful it doesn't fall! But, in the end, the show was pretty good, even with all the mistakes! There were some good laughs in there. C:

Dammit, there's some dog outside across the street that keeps barking, and my dad is coughing next door. *sigh*

Oh well.
